The two sides discussed deepening inter-school vocational education and enhancing the quality of talent development. Qiu Fuming, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of LZPU, along with heads of the International Exchange Department (Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs) and relevant Schools, received the delegation and participated in the discussions.
At the meeting, Qiu Fuming extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He reviewed the achievements of LZPU's cooperation with several Indonesian institutions in areas including the joint establishment of the International Craftsman College and collaborative training programs. Qiu Fuming stated that LZPU places great importance on vocational education cooperation with Indonesia, and hopes to take this exchange as an opportunity to further collaborate with POLBAN in curriculum standards, faculty exchange, and joint student training.
Paula Santi Rudat remarked that this was her first visit to China, and she was deeply impressed by the velocity of development and accomplishments in China's vocational education. During their tour of training bases of the School of Luosifen Industry, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and the School of Automotive Engineering, the delegation frequently praised LZPU's advanced facilities and its deeply integrated model of industry and education. Paula Santi Rudat expressed a strong desire for both schools to deepen cooperation in fields such as new energy vehicles and smart manufacturing.
During the visit, the delegation also had a face-to-face exchange with students from the tailored class jointly run by LZPU and POLBAN as part of the China-Indonesia degree program in a relaxed and lively atmosphere.
Leveraging the China-ASEAN Institute of Modern Craftsmanship, LZPU has adopted a tailored class model for degree education. In 2025, all 297 students from the tailored class were quickly recruited by LZPU's partner enterprises, which demonstrated a supply falling short of demand. Looking ahead, LZPU will continue to deepen cooperation with Indonesian institutions in areas such as degree education and tailored class training, actively advance curriculum alignment and joint faculty development, and achieve further progress in school-enterprise collaborative talent cultivation.
